- New stuff by Queen + PR ? After the brilliant Tour 2005, there are rumours that Queen + Paul Rodgers will record a studio album.
On VH-1 Music First, Roger Taylor commented that rumour: “I think really that’s what we’re trying to decide at the moment. I think Brian and I just starting to write again and it’d be nice, I think what we have to do is to make a record that stands or falls, well, that stands despite who makes that record. You know, it’s, so I think we just got to write the right stuff and come up with something really extraordinary. And I think if we had that spark, we’d then have the impetus to finish an album, yeah. I think it would be a very nice thing to do.”

- Roger on Rodgers Paul Rodgers, the brilliant singer who's singing with Queen, has been known in classic rock circles as “the voice”.
Roger Taylor says he has to agree with that assessment of Paul Rodgers’ talent: I remember thinking: "Jesus, this singer is like, not only does he sing amazingly well, he does all these things with a mic stand and he moves like a snake, like a sort of cobra". And of course then, they had a lot of hits, some great records. We used to spend a lot of time listening to Free.

- Roger Taylor interviews @ Capital Gold Radio on phone, 14 July
David Jensen caught up with Roger Taylor just after the 2-minute silence on Thursday. They talk about how London has united since the bombings, as well as what to expect for Queen's rescheduled concert on Friday. Roger describes it as a 'Concert of Defiance'.
Queen had offered 5,000 tickets to members of the Emergency Services and Transport for London as gratitude for their bravery and hard work last Thursday, and Capital Gold were giving them away from the reception of their HQ in Leicester Square.

- Roger Taylor in ideal supergroup poll
About 3,500 music fans were polled for Planet Rock Radio and were asked to create their fantasy band.
Presenter Trevor Dann, of Planet Rock radio, which compiled the poll, said: "This is an amazing result. Listeners could have voted for any classic rock artists when creating their fantasy supergroup."
John Bonham, who died in 1980, was named best drummer. Our Roger Taylor is at no. 8, a good position, in my opinion ! Here's the list:
1. John Bonham (Led Zeppelin)
2. Neil Peart (Rush)
3. Keith Moon (The Who)
4. Cozy Powell (Black Sabbath, Rainbow)
5. Phil Collins (Genesis)
6. Ginger Baker (Cream)
7. Ian Paice (Deep Purple)
8. Roger Taylor (Queen)
9. Dave Grohl (Nirvana/Foo Fighters)
10. Eric Carr (Kiss)
Actually I would have preferred Keith Moon as 2nd .. I can't see Mitch Mitchell in the list, and he is one of the best rockers ever.

- Roger Taylor was guest of Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan this tea-time on their chat show on Channel 4 TV
They showed clips from the Queen+PR concert in Sheffield and talked about how well Paul has integrated into the band and his incredible Blues voice and the direction he was taking them. Roger said that Freddie's mum was in approval and had always been very supportive.
Richard Madeley was keen to play a bit of performance video of Bicycle Race (followed by Bohemian Rhapsody) ,which included shots of the nude cyclists!!
Of Bohemian Rhapsody, Roger was asked if that was really his voice getting the top falsetto note. Roger said that his normal voice had got higher and stronger, but he can't reach so high these days with his falsetto voice.
There was also discussion about Live 8 and that Roger had watched the daytime part in Lisbon, but obviously not the evening because of Queen's concert. He complemented various bands especially, The Who, Annie Lennox and Razorlight and enthused how Robbie Williams had held the audience in the palm of his hand, very much the same way as Freddie. A live performance clip of We Are The Campions, from Wembley 86 was shown of Freddie doing exactly that.
Roger was also asked about Peter Kay and the concert next Friday.
- Roger speaking on the Simon Mayo Show on BBC Radio 5
Simon Mayo: Ian Fox who's listening in Milwaulkee says: Can you ask Roger if there are any plans with the new line-up. As an ex-pat, that misses Freddie, I'm excited to see the tour.
Roger: Yeah. We're gonna be doing New York City and the Hollywood Bowl in October before going to Japan and maybe some more next year.
